Here we go. I don't know how to put the link in my post, but you can use the one on the sidebar.
1. What is something that bothers you if it's not done perfectly?
Um, yea. Pretty much everything.
Sorry. The thing that bothers me most is incorrect grammar :)
Although I am becoming a bit looser with this as I get older (and get lazier).
2. What is one of your best childhood memories.
I loved the freedom that came with summer... going to the pool everyday... flirting ;)
3. Do you plan to watch the royal wedding and when is the last time you wore a hat?
No.
Never.
4. Where do you fall in the birth order in your family? Do you think this has influenced your personality?
I am the oldest. I am a perfectionist. See question #1.
5. Where do you think you spend most of your money?
At the grocery store :)
6. When you need to confront someone would you rather communicate in person, on the phone, by email or letter? Why?
Oh my. I think the correct way to do this is always in person, although I don't know if that would be my method of choice. I would probably pick the phone.
7. Dodge ball, freeze tag, kick ball or jump rope? You have to pick one.
Hands down, jump rope. I very much dislike group games :)
8. Insert your own random thought here.
When I read back through my answers I think I sound like a grumpy old woman. I'm really not, well - at least I'm not terribly old. I have to admit I can sometimes be grouchy.
I'm so very very glad the trees are growing green leaves now :)

Outhouses, and such
Lately I have been thankful that I live in an age of indoor plumbing. No, really. Think about it. Every time you have to use the loo, you need to leave your home, go out into the elements, sit in an unheated (or unairconditioned) little box, and, well, you know. What happens when you got a stomach virus? Uh, I don't even want to think about it. My grandmother tells stories of the outhouse... and climbing down the hole... well, I'll say no more.
I am very glad I live in this day and age. I adore modern conveniences.

It's Wednesday. I have not cleaned out my closet yet, although I do have 2 more days to accomplish that exciting task. I am having a slight problem getting my closet doors off... and another slight problem in getting the husband to help me.
Speaking of clothing, my living room looks like my dryer threw up.

Going to try this... I need to clean out as we think about selling our house... this will give me a great place to start!

Ten Years
I have a ten year old.
How did that happen?
I mean, okay, I know how it happened.
But really, one minute he's a baby, being ripped out of your open stomach... then boom, he's 10, and he's embarrassed when you drop off the birthday cookies at his classroom door.
I'm not sure I'm ready for this being-a-parent-of-a-double-digit-child thing.
But here it is, ready or not.
Thanks, Father, that you have given me this Gift, and that you have also given me other gifts to help me grow the Gift into a man, one that follows You with all his heart. :)

The Unexpected
Tonight did not go as planned. The Husband was supposed to be home so that I could go to a meeting... except... he wasn't. He was in Maryland, still working. Alas, there I was, 4 children and no husband.
Thank God for good neighbors.
I am seeing a pattern, one that I'm not sure I like...
Actually, nevermind, I know I don't like it. I am constantly being stretched in this I-think-it's-going-to-be-like-this-but-then-it-ends-up-totally-different thing. What am I being prepared for? Is He just trying to get me to be a little more flexible?
Of course, being married to The Husband, I should have learned this skill a long time ago. It's been a you-think-it's-going-to-look-like-this-but-then-it-doesn't kind of life. :)
